Escape to Life

Erika and Klaus Mann are two of the most famous
siblings of the last century. They step out of the
shadow of their overbearing father, Thomas Mann.
Together they set out to conquer the world, to free
themselves from the constrains of social and moral
standards that ruled society between the wars. In
the end their quest for identity and individual freedom
is crushed by the powers that be - the short
escape to life ended in tragedy.
