Adriana Altaras is a director, actress and writer from
a country which no longer exists: Yugoslavia. She
is the daughter of Jewish partisans who fought for
Tito and later started a new life in post-war Germany.
This film tells the story of her “high maintenance
family”, the wounds from her parents’ past and her
own search for her roots on an intimate road trip
into the heart of South East Europe.
